Hello , Welcome to my Acrylic Sketchbook. I started the book in 2023. That year I filled 7 open pages. 2024 had 1. 2025 had 4. 2026 closes March with 13 open page paintings. A record on the way to a goal of 52. Take a look at what I've made. Check back as I make more. Do you have a suggestion or commission for a painting? Reach out.

Acrylic Sketchbook 1 - History
A history from day one in 2023 where I attempted to paint in a sketchbook that had only been used with other mediums, marker, pen. The results proved a happy place for some of my acrylic paintings to live. I suppose they also live here.

About how I paint in my Acrylic Sketchbook
- I use an affordable sketchbook from Artists Loft purchased at Michaels. I've paid less than $10. The sketchbook has 80 pages.
- I often use blue painters tape to give an intentional edge and to overall keep painting more tidy.
- I use minimal stock of colors: primary blue, yellow, red, white, black. Focused on making my own colors. I use a tool not a brush to mix.
- I try to clean paint with paper towels, I try to clean paint mats by removing after the paint dries. I try not to mix lots of paint in the water to clean the brush, a little water and then try to clean paint from brush with paper towel, gently, repeat.
- I don't try to build up the paint, I try to keep it flat and let the work be done by the coloring and layering of colors, not build up.
